Shasta Dam, Shasta Lake, and Mt. Shasta, Northern California. 602 feet high it is the ninth tallest dam in the United States. Shasta dam creates Shasta Lake, Named after Mt. Shasta.
Shasta Lake is known fro recreation, fishing, swimming, camping, skiing, boating, and house boating to name a few.
Mount Shasta has an elevation of 14,179 feet, is in the Cascade Range and is a potentially active volcano. The mountain consists of four overlapping volcanic cones. The summer climbing season runs from late April until October. Mount Shasta also has a ski park.
