Lassen Volcanic National Park in Northern California. This Mount Lassen Panorama that includes Hwy 89, captures its beauty on a large scale. Located in Shasta, Lassen, Plumas and Tehama Counties, the park covers 106, 452 acres of gorgeous scenery. The area surrounding Lassen Peak is still active with boiling mud pots, hot springs and fumaroles. Lassen Peak is the largest plug dome volcano in the world and is the southern most volcano in the Cascade Range. Lassen Park is our only National Park with all four types of Volcanoes- Shield, Composite, Cinder Cone and Plug Dome.
